I really feel sorry to those who are victims of scammers for whatever tactics these filthy players use. You guys should keep posting to inform other players and don't worry about flamers here. They are always ready to "haha idiot you derserve it" to you when you are scammed.

Wait. You sent Anet a message saying you were 'scammed' because you were trying to cheat?
The 2 weeks you stopped playing were because of a ban weren't they?

I totally agree with this.
Scammers are kinda lame, so you can see through their tricks easily. (item duplicating the worst I've ever heard lololol)

And I'm reluctant to even call you a victim. You and the scammer are both in the wrong, end of. I imagine the "flamers" in this thread are a tad bit more clued in on this or they wouldn't have posted.

Hell YEAH IM GREEDY. Work my ass to get 1 fow and someone told me i could get a 2nd one. AGAIN YEAH Im ******** Greedy
Again, is your arrogance so big you gotta insult ppl? why not just stay in GW and play the game instead of all the insults?
To the one who just got scammed, Sorry again abt your loss. just take a break and come back. It sucks but you ll still have fun after that.

i think i rolled back a salvage kit by accident... i needed piles of dust and i had a bunch of demonic remains, 46ish. i bought a salvage kit from guild hall. then i stared to salvage the remains. it was boring to salvage and i was cliking it as fast as i could. suddenly i got an error7. when i logged back on, i cheked my char and my salvage kit was intact. still 25 uses but there were piles of dust and less demonic remains. i was confused that i had the dust yet the kit was as new. in any case i went at it slower coz i hate error7 and i have no idea if i could repeat that again. i don't wanna try it either.

But if like the OP you were attempting to exploit the system and conduct yourself in an illegal (against the game rules) manner, Sorry you deserve it!

Well I got scammed by the oldest trick in the book.
A guy was trying to sell a perfect req 9 chaos axe for 90K (I think that was the price) I asked if he accepted trades, and he said yes. My first bid was a mini elf, and a good shield. He canceled and said he wanted more. I said that was ok and made my next offer, the same two things and 2 ectos. he canceled deal and said no, he wanted more, well I made my nest offer, those three tings plus a bow, he canceled and said no. All those times he offered me a perfect req 9 bow. Then He contacted me and asked if I had any cash, I said I was low on cash so we agreed on all those things and 3k (My bid was now a total of approx 110-115K). This time I forgot to check if it was the correct axe, actually it was the only time I forgot to check. I was tired and was about to go to bed. I accepted, and some seconds later I found ut i got a crappy req 11 chaos axe 13>50 with no mods att all. I tried to contact him to get the deal reversed, but he did not even answear me. I even said that he could keep the ectos if he returned the rest of my stuff, still no answears.
So I got scammed the old school way, you might say I was stupind and not paing enough attention, but it want make me any better. People like this guy is not good for the GW community. They are destroying much for both n00bs and "semin00bs" like me. I Play GW because its fun, but right now I dont find it fun anymore.
I've take contact with anet, anf have reported the scam, but I was to late to take any screenshots, so I guess all my saving is gone.

As you see I was not trying to cheat or anything like that, was just trying to raise money for a mini Kuunavang.
And there is a couple of thing you can do for me, keep on playing fair and square (which I'm assuming you do.)
and if you ever see this guy (whos name I'm not allowed to say) kick him in the balls for me

It makes no sense to me that someone who has played the game long enough to acquire 100k still doesn't see a scam coming. Maybe you got lucky with a rare item or something. If you were sucked in to try getting an item duplicated then i can't feel sorry for you for trying to cheat anyway. I'm glad you lost your money. Hope it teaches you a lesson.

well you i feel sorry for and in my opinion i could how he was trying to scam you from the first the mini elf was probably an even trade for the item he advertised. a good thing to do is if a person cancels a trade window without working it out in a whisper instead is trying to scam you but yes for you i do feel sorry. the orignal person i didn't feel sorry for because he was trying to cheat the game and make quick cash so be it. you were only trying to make an honest trade which sometimes goes bad if you not caerful

LOL just stop posting while you're ahead.
Arrogance? Not once in my post did I ever insult you or anyone else. What I said was the truth. It was selfish, greedy and against the rules. Don't get mad at me because you tried to break the rules and you got your stuff jacked. You worked for one set of armor, yet you think you're entitled to more? Being greedy doesn't excuse your behavior, so don't sit here and act like you didn't do anything wrong.
Why not just stay in GW and play the game instead of trying to put words in my mouth?

If people could dupe items, why would they share it? They could just dupe those 15 unconditional and drive the market down.

Ouch, that must hurt. Denying and opening trades over and over again till you trusted that guy. Ouch, that hurts. Well, it serves as a lesson for most of us. Double check and check before you press that accept. Never press accept first.

Nope, but I can say out loud I don't cheat to get what I want either. Do I want more money, even though I can live on what I have now? Sure I do. But I'm not out robbing banks, picking pockets, conning little old ladies out of their life savings, or anything else. Just like sure, I'd love to have more gold, more "leet" items, etc in Guild Wars, but I'm not running bots, trying to "dupe" or anything else to get them either.
